Matches between Ghana and Nigeria are battles - Super Eagles interim coach Finidi George

Nigeria's interim coach, Finidi George, is resolute in his mission to guide the Super Eagles to triumph in their forthcoming friendly encounter against Ghana on Friday.

The much-anticipated match is set to unfold in Marrakesh, Morocco, reigniting the enduring football rivalry between the two nations.

With Nigeria aiming to capitalize on their recent success as runners-up in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations and Ghana seeking redemption following a disappointing group stage exit in the same tournament, both teams are poised for a competitive showdown.

Highlighting the significance of the impending clash, Finidi stressed the intensity of matches between Nigeria and Ghana.

"They call it friendly matches, but there is really nothing friendly when you play, especially Ghana. Matches between our countries are serious duels and are always seen as battles by our people."

Ghana will face Nigeria at 4 pm on Friday before taking on Uganda next week Tuesday to wrap up their match international break.
