Maurice Revello tournament: Black Satellites shamefully exit tournament after losing all group games

The Ghana U20 team, the Black Satellites are coming home from the Maurice Revello Tournament after disgracefully failing to record a single win from the group stages.

The team coached by veteran gaffer Karim Zito started the tournament with a narrow 1-0 defeat to Mexico in the opening game.

Subsequently, the Black Satellites disappointed in the second game when the team suffered a narrow defeat at the hands of the Indonesia U19 team.

Today, the Ghana U20 team played their final group game of the Maurice Revello tournament with the aim of signing out with a win.

While things were going well for the team in the second half as the team led through Ibrahim Zubeiru, the team could not defend as Venezuela equalised through Daniel Perez to force the match to end in a 1-1 draw.

With the game being decided on penalties, Ghana lost 4-2 as Indonesia picked the win from the shootout.

The penalty shootout result means that the Black Stars are returning home after losing all matches at the Maurice Revello tournament.
