Maxwell Konadu reveals decision behind his switch to Nsoatreman FC

Former Asante Kotoko head coach, Maxwell Konadu has revealed the reason behind his surprise move to Nsoatreman FC.

The former Ghana international left Legon Cities following the conclusion of the 2022/23 Ghana Premier League season to join the Nsoatre-based side ahead of the 2023/24 season.

Revealing the decision behind his move to the club, the former Black Stars coach said the facilities and support from the management were key factors in his decision.

“My decision is based on the facilities they have and the support that the management gives to the team. It is very important. When you have a team that the young ones want to play it's good so everybody is doing his best. Training is always fine and nobody is making excuses. We are always united,” Konadu told 3Sports.

He added that the players have done well in adapting to the systems and principles put in place by the technical team, which has contributed to the team's current success.

“I think we first have to congratulate the playing body. They've done so well when we started we found it difficult to cope with the systems and the principles we were putting in place but once they have understood and agreed to do as we want, everything is going on smoothly,” Konadu noted.

After parting ways with Legon Cities, Konadu joined Nsoatreman and has helped the team secure a second-place position so far this season, following a 13th-place finish in their debut season. The team is now focused on achieving a top-half finish this year.

Nsoatreman FC will host Real Tamale United in the matchday 10 games at the Nana Kronmansah Park on Sunday with kick off scheduled at 15:00GMT.
