Reigning Ghana Premier League champions, Medeama have entered the fray to snap up Hearts of Oak midfielder Salifu Ibrahim ahead of next season.

The former Eleven Wonders star current contract with the Phobians is expected to elapse at the end of the season.

Salifu has established himself as a key member of the Phobians team since his arrival in February 2021 from Eleven Wonders.

The midfielder has become a subject of interest for several clubs due to his swashbuckling performance for the Ghanaian giants.

Hearts of Oak are already in talks to tie the midfielder down at the club and proposing GHS10,000 monthly salary.

But Salifu is said to have made up his mind to depart the club when his contract elapse at the end of the season.

According to reports in the Ghanaian media, Medeama have entered the race to sign the 23-year-old ahead of the 2024/25 season.

The Yellow and Mauve is believed to have tabled a lucrative monthly offer of GHS20,000 monthly salary to secure the services of the midfielder.

Despite interest from Nations FC and Asante Kotoko, should Ibrahim opt to remain in the country, sources suggest that Medeama emerges as the frontrunner for his signature.

Salifu Ibrahim has been instrumental for the Phobians in the ongoing campaign, scoring two goals and providing nine assists in 27 games so far this season.
