Medeama SC striker Prince Opoku says scoring goals for the side is his hallmark after scoring twice against struggling Hearts of Oak in matchday two of the Ghana Premier League on Sunday.

Opoku bagged a brace to help the Yellow and Mauve lads thrash Hearts 3-0 at the Akoon Park in Tarkwa to go top of the league table.

According to the Black Stars B forward, he is confident of scoring for his outfit on a regular basis this season.

"I will challenge them [Medeama] since they already know me and talking about my capabilities. At least we have faced-off against each other with the local Black Stars and so they really know me very well," Opoku told DS Sports whiles revealing his targets for the Tarkwa-based outfit this term.

"I am throwing a challenge to them that in every game match, l have to score because that is my hallmark; putting the ball at the back of my opponents nets for them to emerge victorious."

He added on his lust for trophies, "Again, I have a strong lust for trophies. When we went to Senegal with the local Black Stars and failed to win the trophy, it really, really hurt me a lot for I had wanted to win an international trophy. Winning other trophies on the local scene say the Ghana Premier League and others are going to be great achievement and l want to win them with Medeama."

Medeama SC will travel to Dansoman to take on Liberty professional in matchday 3 of the ongoing 2019/20 Ghana Premier League season.
