In a bid to rewrite the annals of Ghanaian football history, Medeama Football Club is on a mission to break an 11-year dry spell by securing a coveted spot in the CAF Champions League group stage.

The stakes are high, and Medeama's ambition is palpable as they prepare to battle it out on the continental stage.

The last time a Ghanaian club tasted group-stage glory in the CAF Champions League was over a decade ago. Now, Medeama carries the torch of hope and determination, driven by the desire to restore Ghana's prestige in African club football.

This pursuit represents more than just a campaign for Medeama; it's a symbolic quest for the resurgence of Ghanaian football on the continental stage.

Medeama booked a date with Horoya after emerging victorious with a 3-2 shootout scoreline against Nigerian club Remo Stars at the Remo Stars Stadium.

Medeama will take on Horoya without their talismanic skipper Vincent Atinga. Atinga has ended his two-and-a-half-year stay with the Yellow and Mauve.

The talented defender had a successful career with Medeama. He scored 21 goals in two seasons.
