Hearts of Oak midfielder Michelle Sarpong has lauded Kim Grant for playing a key role in his development as a player.
The former Hearts of Oak coach promoted Sarpong from the youth team into the senior setup and also handed him his debut at the club in the Normalisation Committee Special Competition.
The highly-rated youngster put up mouthwatering performances for Phobians as they reached the semi-final of Special Competition.
In an emotional message to his former trainer, Sarpong wrote, "You saw something in me that know coach has ever seen and you were the only coach to give me a chance to prove my self despite being in the youth team for 5 good years and had no chance to give a trial training at the senior side.
"You had faith in me and you gave me the chance when no coach did. You thought me so much and I will ever remain grateful.
You are my favorite coach and I will never forget all you have done for me. Thank you Kim Grant and God bless you."
Hearts of Oak are expected to appoint a new coach in the coming days with Edward Odoom handed interim managerial role.
