Newly-signed Mjøndalen IF Isaac Twum has vowed to help the club excel after sealing a two and half year deal with the Norwegian side.

Twum, who guided the Black Stars B to lift the 2017 WAFU Cup on home soil completed his switch from IK Start to Mjøndalen IF in the ongoing summer transfer window.

The former Inter Allies player is expected to bolster the midfield of the club after an impressive performance in the ongoing Norwegian league season with IK Start.

The former Ghana U23 winger says he wants to help the club escape relegation.

Speaking to Sarpong Sarkodie of Bryt FM in Koforidua, he said, “Nobody knows tomorrow and it is my aim to help my new club escape relegation. Despite my former club, IK Start occupying a better position on the table than my new outfit, I will be happy to help them secure a better position before the season ends”

“My new club trails IK Start with just a point and with 13 matches to go I hope I can make the difference for the club. I’m just hoping things go the ways I want and for the club as well” he said.

Isaac Twum’s side debut for Mjøndalen IF ended in defeat after Viking beat them 2-1.

Mjøndalen IF are last but one on the Norwegian league table with 14 points.
