West Ham United has announced that Ghana attacking midfielder Mohammed Kudus' breathtaking half-volley against Newcastle United has been voted the club's Goal of the Month for October.

The club made the announcement via a post on its official social media platform, X, showcasing Kudus' remarkable strike that secured him the accolade.

The decision comes after fans overwhelmingly voted for the goal.

Kudus' goal outshone the competition, beating two outstanding strikes from Lucas Paqueta, along with three other noteworthy goals. Among the contenders were two goals from the Women's team and one from the Premier League 2 side.

The sensational goal from Kudus proved crucial, earning the Hammers a valuable point on Sunday, October 8, 2023.

During that match, the former Ajax star was subbed in with just 15 minutes remaining, as West Ham United was trailing at their home ground. Kudus displayed his brilliance with a late equalizer, even in the presence of Ghanaian dancehall musician Stonebwoy.

This goal marked Kudus's first in the Premier League and his third for the club since joining in August. With two more goals to his name, he now boasts a total of five goals in his West Ham United career, including two in three Premier League starts.
