MTN FA Cup: Abdul Mohammed unhappy with Skyy FC performance after Hearts of Oak defeat

Skyy FC head coach Abdul Malik Mohammed is unhappy with his side's performance against Hearts of Oak in the MTN FA Cup quarter-finals on Thursday.

The lower-tier side suffered a 1-0 loss to the defending champions at the Accra Sports stadium.

Despite dominating the first 45 minutes of the encounter, Hearts could not score and had to wait until the 66th minute of the second half for the crucial winning goal.

Gladson Awako chipped a lovely pass to pacey winger Patrick Razak who made no mistake but slotted his effort into the Skyy FC net.

"I was a little bit disappointed with the performance especially in the first half because what we planned to do somewhere along the line, the boys failed to do it," Mohammed told StarTimes.

"Sincerely speaking we could have done better in the first half like what we did in the second half. Unfortunately, the goal we conceded is something that we worked on, but a slight loss of concentration cost us."

Skyy FC reached the quarter-finals of the competition for the first time in their history.
