MTN FA Cup: "My team’s performance wasn’t good against Skyy FC"- Hearts coach Samuel Boadu

Hearts of Oak head coach Samuel Boadu believes his side were not at their best against Skyy FC in the MTN FA Cup quarter-final.

The defending champions progressed to the semi-finals of the competition for the second successive season with a 1-0 win over the lower-tier side at the Accra Sports stadium.

Despite dominating the first 45 minutes of the encounter, the Phobians could not score and had to wait until the 66th minute of the game for the crucial winning goal. Gladson Awako chipped a lovely pass to pacey winger Patrick Razak who made no mistake but slotted his effort into the Skyy FC net.

Speaking after the game, coach Boadu told StarTimes, "My team’s performance wasn’t good at all though we managed to get one goal. It is always difficult playing against Division One League teams."

Hearts of Oak will face Dreams FC in the semi-final, while Aduana Stars take on Bechem United in a Premier League all affair.

This season's MTN FA Cup final will be played at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi.
