Mubarak Wakaso resumes training ahead of Alaves season opener against Levante

Ghanaian international, Mubarak Wakaso has returned from injury ahead of Deportivo Alaves’s opening match in the Spanish La Liga against UD Levant this weekend.

The player had been a doubt for the match after picking up an injury during their 3-2 defeat on penalties against Real Zaragoza in the Carlos Lapetra Cup last week.

He has now resumed training after shaking off the hamstring injury he suffered, giving his side a major boost ahead of their La Liga opener this weekend.

Wakaso, 29, is a key part of the side and joining his side for training today comes as good news for Deportivo Alaves who would want to have all their ammunitions firing on match week one to ensure they get off to a good start.

The Black Stars midfielder is likely to start for the Spanish top-flight side especially looking at his performance with his national team at the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament.

Alaves will play as hosts to UD Levante on Sunday, August 18, 2019.
