Mubarak Wakaso reveals problem hindering Black Stars Afcon trophy drought

Ghana international Mubarak Wakasa has disclosed the hidden problem in the senior national male team, Black Stars denying them an Afcon trophy.

The Black Stars have failed win the Africa Cup of Nations title since they last won it in 1982 despite reaching three semi finals pand losing twice at the finals in the last three editions.

The Deportivo Alaves midfielder says how the players manage each other on the field and outside the pitch is the brain behind Black Stars difficulty in winning the ultimate. even though they are always counted as one of the favourites in the tournament.

''The problem we have as a team is how we will manage ourselves outside the pitch before we get unto the pitch''. That's what I think is our biggest problem but never in my life have I seen a player acting like he's not ready to play, NO!'' he said.

The 28-year-old however stated that Ghana ought to be under pressure ahead of 2019 Afcon to be held in Egypt, since they are favourites all time but believes host Egypt, Senegal and Morocco are dangerous and will be fighting for the ultimate.

''The question is very difficult to answer but checking from performance, host Egypt is one of thefavourites to win on a silver plateau and also Senegal and Morrocco stand the best chance to win", he added.

The Black Stars are haunting to end their long run for an African cup, since winning their fourth trophy in 1982.
