My first goal for Ghana is special, makes me very happy – Inaki Williams

Black Stars striker, Inaki Williams has described his first goal for Ghana as a special one.

The Athletic Bilbao forward has been a regular for the Ghana national team in the past year.

Before the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualification game against Madagascar today, Inaki Williams had never scored for the Black Stars.

However, on the stroke of halftime in the important game of the qualifiers for the next mundial, Inaki Williams scored with a thumping header to seal a 1-0 win for his country against Madagascar.

Speaking after the game, the striker described his first goal for Ghana as special, adding that he is very excited he has finally opened his account.

“I'm very happy to score my first goal. It's special. Kumasi people are lovely and I thank them very well,” Inaki Williams said.

After relieving himself of the pressure of struggling to score his first Ghana goal, the experienced striker will be hoping to bang in more for the Black Stars in upcoming games.
