Myron Boadu needs his teammates to make a difference - AZ coach Jansen

Trainer Pascal Jansen did not want to lose his intended star players Calvin Stengs and Myron Boadu on Saturday evening after a new loss of points from AZ. The Alkmaarders came to visit PEC Zwolle no further than 1-1.

"Stengs and Boadu have the quality to make a difference. But they also need the rest of the team to do that," Jansen told ESPN. "So it's not just those two, but everything else."

Both Stengs and Boadu managed to score only four times in thirteen league matches this season. The two talents made their debut in the Orange squad last year, but like their team, they play a lot less this season.

According to Jansen, his two goldcrests could not make the difference in Zwolle, because the ball's pace at AZ in the back was too low. "PEC kept it very closed, that is of course their right. We must have an answer with a high ball pace, but I have seen too little of that."

After an hour of play, Jansen adjusted his formation by putting Teun Koopmeiners in defense to take care of the build-up and let Stengs play as an attacking midfielder. That conversion soon resulted in Fredrik Midtsjø's equalizer.
