Newly-appointed Chief Executive Officer of Asante Kotoko Nana Yaw Amponsah says his current job is bigger than the Ghana Football Association Presidency.

The former FIFA intermediary was outdoored as the CEO of the Porcupine Warriors last Friday on a three-year mandate.

The top position at the Kumasi-based club has been vacant for the past couple of months.

"I see Asante Kotoko and no disrespect to the Ghana Football Association Presidential position which I aspired to occupy, Kotoko for me is the biggest," he told teeming supporters at his unveiling at the Sports Hotel in Kumasi.

"If I ask you today who the president of the English FA is, you may not be able to tell me but you may be able to tell me who the Executive Chairman of Manchester United is so I do not take this responsibility lightly at all," he concluded.

He contested the GFA presidential elections in October last year and placed third behind winner, Kurt Okraku, and George Afriyie who was second out of the six candidates who contested for the position.

Amponsah, who has stepped down as the President of Phar Rangers has already presented a five-year development plan to the Board of Kotoko.
