Nathaniel Opoku misses OH Leuven’s defeat to KAS Eupen because of injury

Ghana forward Nathaniel Opoku missed OH Leuven’s defeat to KAS Eupen over the weekend because of injury.

OH Leuven suffered a heavy 3-1 loss in round 5 of the Belgium Jupiler Pro League on Saturday evening.

Compatriot Isaac Nuhu scored for the home side and lasted for 84 minutes in the game. He also provided two assists in the previous game against Kortrijk, where they won 3-1.

The club has now confirmed Nathaniel Opoku missed the game because of a groin injury, but has not given specifications as to where he picked the injury.

The last time he played for OH Leuven was in a 1-1 Royal Antwerp where he lasted for 60 minutes.

In rthe 2023/24 season, Nathaniel Opoku, a Leicester City loanee, has played four times in the Belgium Jupiler Pro League, scoring one goal and providing one assist.

The club said he will be back in about three weeks, that’s around mid September after the international break.
