New deal for Walker-Peters

Published on: 10 December 2018

Tottenham head coach Mauricio Pochettino has handed Kyle Walker-Peters a contract extension that will keep the full-back at the club until 2023.

The 21-year-old, who has featured in 11 first-team games for Spurs, is set to play in Tuesday's Champions League game at Barcelona, which Pochettino's team are 11/5 to win.

Spurs, 13/8 to qualify for the last 16 of the Champions League, are 3/10 to finish in the top four of the Premier League this term.

Meanwhile, England international Dele Alli believes Spurs can cause a shock and record a famous victory at the Nou Camp.

Alli, who scored in Saturday evening's 2-0 win at Leicester City, said: "They are one of the best teams in the world. They've got some great players and as a kid you dream about playing at the Nou Camp and we're going to go there and give it our best shot.

"We're ready. It's going to be another difficult game but they're the games you want to be a part of, playing one of the best teams in the world and some of the world's greatest players.

"You want to be challenging yourself and we're going there with the mentality that we can win and we have to believe. It's going to be difficult but we have to go there and give it our best."

Spurs are level on seven points with Inter Milan, who host PSV Eindhoven, in Group B.
