New Man City Star Gabriel Jesus Admits Pep Guardiola Has Banned Him From Drinking a Particular Drink

Manchester City's new striker Gabriel Jesus is finally ready to join up with his Etihad teammates after completing his title-winning season with Palmeiras in Brazil.

The teenage forward completed a reported £27m move in the summer, but delayed his arrival in England until the January transfer window in order to help secure the Brazilian league trophy with the Sao Paulo club.

Gabriel eventually linked up with his employers last week, when he flew into Manchester for a meet and greet with his teammates and the coaching staff, before watching the 1-3 defeat to Chelsea in the Premier League from the stands.

Life may taste pretty good right now for the 19-year-old Olympic Gold Medalist, but he hasrevealed that he's already been given the lay of the land by new boss Pep Guardiola, with the former Barcelona manager imposing a surprising restriction on refreshements.

"He told me I cannot drink Coca-Cola," Jesus admitted to Spanish PublicationSport.

Ummm... whose drink is that in the picture above?

Despite the unusual ban (and his immediate disregard for it)Gabriel had nothing but praise for Guardiola.

"They were very friendly with me and he seemed to me to be a great person. Everyone speaks of his quality as a coach but I liked his character" he said.

Challenging for two league titles in one season on two different continents is thirsty work. Time will tell if young Gabriel can trade the sugar rush for a medal rush, when May comes around.
