Ghana national team head coach, Otto Addo has stressed that he feels no pressure ahead of the crucial game against Nigeria on Tuesday evening.

The gaffer was in the dugout for the first time as coach of the Black Stars last Friday when the team drew goalless with the Super Eagles in the first leg of the playoff tie to the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

Speaking in a pre-match interview ahead of the deciding game today, Coach Otto Addo has indicated that he is privileged to be the head coach of his country’s national team.

According to him, he does not feel any pressure and is focused on helping the team achieve its goal at the end of the encounter.

"First of all, I have a different definition of pressure. Pressure, for me, is a privilege to sit here in front of as a coach for the Ghana national team, it's a privilege. it's not pressure for me,” Coach Otto Addo shared.

The German-trained tactician continued, "For me, I think 30 million Ghanaians will like to be here (as the coach), so, it is a privilege, not a pressure. Pressure is when I have to think [about] what I eat tomorrow, this is pressure. But this (being here as a coach, facing Nigeria) is no pressure.”

The crucial encounter between Nigeria and Ghana will kick off today at the Moshood Abiola National Sports Stadium.

Kick-off is at 17:00GMT.
