Normalisation Committee congratulates fans for supporting Black Stars & Black Meteors

The GFA Normalization Committee has congratulated football fans and supporters for the massive turnout at the Accra Sports Stadium to support the Black Stars and the Meteors in their respective assignments.

Ghana U-23 side thrashed Gabon 4-0 at the Accra Sports Stadium in the first leg of the U-23 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier whiles the Black Stars of Ghana defeated the Harambee Stars of Kenya 1-0 in their final Afcon qualifier to go top of Group F at the same venue.

In a statement released by the GFA Normalisation Committee, they thanked the fans for their support as it helped energised both teams to victory on Saturday.

"We take note of the positive and exciting re-emergence of Ghana football as a credible platform for uniting and entertaining all of us. Your massive presence created an electrifying atmosphere reminiscent of the glory days of our Black Stars. The Black Stars will continue to count on your support during the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt.

"The GFA Normalization Committee wishes to assure the football public that we are mindful of the importance of football as a social force for good and therefore we shall continue to do our very best with the task of turning our football enterprise around for the better.

"We are appreciative of the ideas and suggestions that continue to come to us from football experts and non-experts, and we welcome all positive criticisms offered in the spirit of solidarity

"Forward the Black Stars of Ghana.... let’s bring back our winning days of old!!"
