Norwich set price for Crystal Palace, Newcastle target Murphy

Norwich City have set their asking price for Jacob Murphy.

The Evening Chronicle says they're trying to ward off interest from the likes of Crystal Palace, Newcastle United, West Brom, Southampton and Swansea City by putting a huge £12m price tag on the head of Murphy.

Newcastle were looking to agree at £8m transfer for the London-born forward but Norwich City have rebuffed their advances insisting on a £12m valuation.

Palace have been linked to Murphy, 22, for several months but it is unlikely the Eagles would make a move for the player until a new manager was in place - although that could be settled as soon as Monday.
