The new Director General of the National Sports Authority (NSA) in Asante Region, Prof. Peter Twumasi led Oforikrom constituency for a cleanup exercise at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium ahead of Sunday's Caf Confederation Cup.
The exercise which was organised by Saddick Adams(Organiser) for the constituency led the delegation to tidy up the stadium (Washroom, VVIP, VIP, Press Box and the popular stands) for the second leg clash of Caf second-tier cup between Asante Kotoko and Coton Sport.
The crucial match is slated for Sunday, January 20 in Kumasi.
The Reds surprisingly defeated the Cameroonian giants 3-2 in Yaoundé in the first leg encounter.
Prof Peter Twumasi assumed office of the National Sports Authority last year. This follows after the Ag. Director General of the Authority Mr Majeed Bawa officially handed over to the Ministry. Prof Peter Twumasi was appointed by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to superintend over the activities of the Authority towards the realization of its mandate.
