Nsoatreman FC forward Stephen Diyou names Lord Amoah as toughest defender he faced in 2023/24 GPL season

Nsoatreman FC forward Stephen Diyou has named Berekum Chelsea right-back Stephen Diyou as the toughest defender he faced during the 2023/24 Ghana Premier League campaign.

Diyou faced Amoah in the recently concluded domestic top-flight campaign, where Samartex emerged as winners.

The 20-year-old Nsoatreman FC winger was outstanding for his outfit, scoring six goals and providing three assists in 33 games but he faced tough time in the campaign.

According to Diyou, Lord Amoah, who is Berekum Chelsea right-back was the defender who gave him tough time in the recently concluded season.

“Lord Amoah is the toughest defender I faced in the just ended season. It was difficult playing against him” he told Wontumi FM monitored by Footballghana.com.

Diyou was instrumental when Nsoatreman FC defeated Bofoakwa Tano to annex their maiden Ghana FA Cup title.

The Nsoatre-based club triumph over Bofoakwa Tano on penalties to snatch the title at the University of Ghana stadium.
