Footballghana.com can report that Ghanaian international Claud Adjapong has officially joined Italian Serie A club Hellas Verona on a season-long loan from Sassuolo.
The youngster was expected to stay with his parent club to provide options for them on the bench but following several considerations, he has been transferred to Verona on loan for the upcoming 2019/2020 season.
The under-21 defender has been signed to strengthen the squad of Hellas Verona as they bid to properly compete in the Serie A to ensure they keep hold of their top-flight status at the end of the season.
Per the agreement of the loan deal, the Yellow and Blues will have an option to buy Claude Agyepong for €8 million if he manages to impress.
The Ghanaian is highly rated and has already featured for Italy at the u-21 level.
He made 5 appearances for Sassuolo throughout the 2018/2019 season due to injury but is now bent on enjoying a successful campaign at Hellas Verona.
He joins midfielder Emmanuel Agyemang Badu who also joined the side in the ongoing transfer window.
