Ghanaian giants, Hearts of Oak have reached an agreement with Serbian tactician Slavko Matic, making him the new head coach of the club.

The Phobians have been without a head coach since last month when the club decided to sack head coach Samuel Boadu.

Although the club would subsequently name Coach David Ocloo as an assistant coach, a new head coach's appointment was scheduled for a later date.

After weeks of engagements, Hearts of Oak have today reached a deal to appoint Slavko Matic as the new head coach.

The Serbian tactician, 46, joins Hearts of Oak with a lot of experience after having stints in his home country, in China, Slovenia, and Qatar as well.

At Hearts of Oak, the gaffer has signed a two-year contract and must prepare the team in waiting for the resumption of the Ghana Premier League.

The UEFA Pro Licence holder will work with David Ocloo as his assistant coach. The new gaffer will also work with Richard Oppong [Goalkeeper’s trainer], Samuel Nii Noi [Youth Team Coach], and Enock Jordan Daitey [fitness coach].
