OFFICIAL: Struggling Ashantigold SC sign ex-Karela United goalkeeper Kofi Mensah

Ghanaian giants, Ashanti Gold SC have completed the signing of former Karela United goalkeeper Kofi Mensah.

The Miners as they are called, the team from Obuasi started the 2020/2021 Ghana Premier League season on a bright note.

Unfortunately, their recent form has been nothing to write home about with fans furious and calling for a quick turnaround.

Judging from the last five matches of the team where they have failed to record a win, it has been obvious the team needed strengthening.

After taking a critical look at the various department of the team, officials of Ashanti Gold SC has decided that the goalkeeping department needs to be augmented.

Today, the Miners have sealed the signing of former Karela United goalie Kofi Mensah.

The highly-rated goalkeeper displayed outstanding form in the NC Special Competition before traveling outside Ghana.

He is back in the country and has now inked a three-year contract with Ashanti Gold SC.

After 13 matches into the season, the club has also conceded 19 goals, giving an indication that all is not well. With the signing of Kofi Mensah, the club will hope things change.
