On-loan Richard Danso marks debut for North Texas SC USL league one against Tormenta

Ghanaian international Richard Danso marked his debut for his new side, North Texas FC in the USL League One as they drew goalless with South Georgia based side Tormenta.

The talented attacker jointed the USL side on loan from West Africa Football Academy (WAFA) a week ago.

Over the weekend, he was handed a taste of the new league when he climbed off the bench to feature for his side.

Richard Danso came on in the 54th minute for Cristian Colman as in a match that North Texas dominated and created many chances.

Despite the good performance, the home side failed to equalize and even missed a glorious opportunity to win the match from the penalty spot.

Cristian Colman had the best opportunity in the game after he was one-on-one with the goalkeeper but his shot was saved and Ricardo Pepi’s follow-up went high over the bar.

Having marked his debut, Richard Danso is expected to get a start in the team’s lineup when they play Greenville Triumph SC on Friday.
