Orlando Pirates set to offload Ghanaian forward Kwame Peprah

South African giants Orlando Pirates are set to part ways with Ghanaian forward Kwame Peprah ahead of the new season.

Having enjoyed a remarkable season in the Ghana Premier League with King Faisal scoring 12 goals in the 2020/21 season, the forward joined the South African outfit on a three-year deal.

The forward started on a good note by scoring nine goals for the club in his first season. He was also instrumental when Orlando Pirates reached the finals of the Confederations Cup during the 2021/22 season when they narrowly lost to RS Berkane.

Peprah however endured a difficult season as he spent the second half of the just-ended campaign on loan at Maritzburg United.

Having failed to impress Orlando Pirates, the club has decided to get rid of the Ghanaian attacker as they seek to bolster their squad to compete for the upcoming season.

The Soweto giants have already parted ways with Ntsako Makhubela, Craig Martin, Nkanyiso Zungu, Kopano Thuntsane, and Ndumiso Mabena and are set to show Peprah the exit door.

Meanwhile, Orlando Pirates have completed the signing of players ahead of the new season, namely, Sephelo Baloni from Cape Town All Stars, Katlego Otladisa from Marumo Gallants, Melusi Buthelezi from TS Galaxy and Patrick Maswanganyi from SuperSport United.
