Aduana Stars coach, Samuel Paa Kwesi Fabin beleives the rain may have contributed to his side’s 2-1 defeat to Asante Kotoko on Sunday in the Ghana Premier League at the Baba Yara Stadium.

Isaac Mintah in the 25th minute broke the deadlock ut Kotoko equalized through Stephen Mukwala.

However, Ivorian midfielder Serge Zeze sealed the victory with a stunning goal.

Despite the defeat, Aduana remain at the top of the league table with a three-point lead over second-placed Bechem United.

“I thought we should have won the game because we created a lot of chances but we flopped them and we got punished. The onset of the rain also disturbed our pattern of play and that did not help us at all.”

“Oh yes, we are still on course. We are still leading with 3 points. We are going home and then definitely we are going to win at home and we see what happens,” he added.

Fabin is optimistic that his side can bounce back from the defeat when they return to their home ground to face Bibiani GoldStars on Wednesday, following a one-match home ban.
