For Patrick Twumasi, the second division duel at SV Darmstadt 98 came too early. Because of a knee injury, he sustained in training, Hannover 96 had to do without the last strong offensive player.

At the press conference on Friday, 96 coach Kenan Kocak still had a residual hope that it would be enough for Patrick Twumasi in the duel against SV Darmstadt 98. But nothing came of it.

Hannover 96 had to do without the offensive player in the narrow 2-1 win in Hessen.

The 26-year-old injured his knee in training on Wednesday. A short time later, an MRI examination gave the all-clear, but there has been an expansion of the inner ligament.

It is not yet certain when the striker will be available again.

The failure is particularly bitter in view of the Twumasi's recent strong performance. With two goals after being substituted on, Twumasi made a name for himself in the 4-0 win against Sandhausen.
