Patrick Twumasi to play in the Europa Conference League with Maccabi Netanya next season

Ghana's Patrick Twumasi will be playing in the new Europa Conference League competition with Maccabi Netanya next season.

Despite a 4-0 defeat to Maccabi Haifa, the former Hannover 96 player qualified for the Europa Conference League with Maccabi Netanya, joining 1. FC Koln, FC Villarreal, West Ham United, and OGC Nice.

Twumasi was heavily involved in Maccabi Netanya's qualification to play in the Europa Conference League, scoring seven goals in 15 games and providing one assist.

The striker had a difficult time with Hannover 96. Former Kenan Kocak, currently Turkey's assistant coach, brought him to Hannover as a mega transfer from Deportivo Alaves in 2020 for 800,000 euros.

Twumasi appeared in 24 games for him and scored three goals. The Ghanaian then stopped playing under Jan Zimmermann and Christoph Dabrowski, his successors.

Twumasi signed with Israeli Premier League club Maccabi Netanya on 3 February 2022.
