Former Member of Parliament for Tema East Hon. Daniel Nii Kwartei Titus Glover has taken a swipe at the leadership of the Ghana Football Association following the sacking of Charles Kwabla Akonnor.

The Ghana FA terminated the contract of Charles Kwabla Akonnor together with his two deputies on Monday following Ghana’s uninspiring performances against Ethiopia and South Africa in the 2022 World Cup qualifiers.

The Ghana FA at its Executive Council meeting on Monday after the review and performance of the Black Stars in their last two games have changed direction to appoint a new coach.

A three-member committee led by Ghana FA Vice Chairman Mark Addo has been tasked to appoint a new coach in the next 72 hours.

Speaking to Angel FM, the former Deputy Minister for Transport said he was not surprised with the sacking of Akonnor and said posterity will judge the Ghana FA President, Kurt Okraku.

“I’m not surprised at all, I got the info last Friday,” Hon Titus told Angel FM 102.9

“They’ve decided already, I still maintain my position, they made CK’s work difficult for him.

“They didn’t allow CK to do his job. Posterity will judge Kurt Okraku."
