Steve McManaman, a former Liverpool striker, has pushed his former team to sign Borussia Dortmund attacker Erling Haaland.
Due to a release provision in his contract coming into effect in the summer of 2022, Haaland will be available for a modest £64 million.
And McManaman believes his previous team Liverpool should seize the opportunity right away.
"If Liverpool have the money then they're better off going for Haaland because he's already proven and it will be worth it in the long run.
"Some young players play well over a short period and then all of a sudden they're worth £50m, when their true value is £15m. It's the selling club trying to make as much as possible out of a player."
