Ghana President Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo Addo has rewarded the triumphant Black Stars B with US$100,000 following their exploit at the just ended WAFU tournament.
The Black Stars B beat the Super Eagles of Nigeria 4-1 on Sunday to successfully defend the title they won four years ago.
Stephen Sarfo scored a brace, with Accra Hearts of Oak’s duo of Vincent Atinga and Winful Cobinna grabbing the others.
The team led by Coach Maxwell Konadu paid a courtesy call to the President at the flagstaff house, where he mentioned a reward package of $100,000 for the team.
Black Stars B raked up $100,000 for winning the competition.
Several players and stars from the national team proper have congratulated the team including captain Asamoah Gyan.
