South African top-flight club, Highlands Park are said to be making a consideration to sign Ghanaian defender Edwin Gyimah before the start of the 2019/2020 Premier Soccer League season.

The player was recently released by his Bidvest Wits who according to reports saw him as surplus to requirement.

Since parting ways with the side, he has been training with Highlands Parks who recently gained promotion into the South Africa top-flight league.

The team is said to have been impressed with the display of the defender and is hoping to sign him to boost their squad ahead of what will be a very challenging season in the PSL.

A close source to the club has revealed that though nothing concrete has been tabled, Highlands Parks are very interested and will offer Edwin Gyimah and some other players contracts in the coming days.

“There is no decision on them as yet as some just asked to train with the team and it was not an official trial per se”.

“But they have been doing well and would be great additions to the side, so they might be offered contracts”, the source said.

The former Orlando Pirates midfielder hopes to get an offer before the summer transfer window shuts next month.
