PSV ready to part ways with Ghanaian defender Derrick Luckassen this summer

Dutch giants, PSV Eindhoven are finally ready to offload Ghanaian Derrick Luckassen in the summer transfer window.

The defender born in the Netherlands signed for PSV in 2017 from fellow Eredivisie outfit AZ Alkmaar.

Although PSV had big things planned in mind for Derrick Luckassen, things did not go according to plan.

Problems meant that the defender was loaned out to a number of clubs in the last four years.

The season before the 2021/22 campaign, Luckassen played for RSC Anderlecht. Although he was expected to sign a permanent deal with the side last summer, it did not happen.

He hence returned to his parent club where he was loaned out again to play for Turkish outfit Fatih Karagümrük.

Not looking to make Derrick Luckassen part of its squad for the next football season, PSV has now decided that when the player returns, efforts will be made for his permanent departure.

With just a year left on his contract, sources say PSV will not be asking for big money.
