Asante Kotoko received a significant boost ahead of their Ghana Premier League encounter against Medeama FC on week 23.

Rashid Nortey, Yussif Mubarik, and Isaac Oppong returned to training with the club on Wednesday morning after spending many weeks out of action due to injury.

The three players, who had been sidelined with various injuries, joined their teammates for today's training session at the club's Adako Jachie Training Complex in Kumasi.

The former Medeama SC player Nortey hasn't been available for selection since last month. He joined the club earlier this year on a free transfer.

Nortey was injured when Kotoko and Nsoatreman FC drew on the away on matchday 18.

The Porcupine Warriors beat FC Samartex 2-1 in their match week 22 game. Asante Kotoko is currently fifth on the Ghana Premier League table with 34 points after 21 games. They have a game in hand against Kumasi-based King Faisal.
