Real Madrid talisman Cristiano Ronaldo has revealed his aim to go into the movies once his football career is over.

The 31-year-old, who earlier this month claimedhe would play for another 10 years, has receivedjust about every accolade and awardin an illustrious career.

This year has been particularly special, as Ronaldo led Madrid to Champions League glory in May before winning Euro 2016 as Portugal's captain in the summer.

But now, the three-time Ballon d'Or winner has admitted to venturing away from football once he retires, with aims to become a big hit movie star.

Life is only about football. After playing I'd like to go into the movies. The Sunquote Ronaldo as saying.

He made the comments while speaking to footballmagazine FourFourTwo, who featured the Portuguesestar on their cover alongsideBorussia Dortmund's Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Bayern Munich's Jerome Boateng, Leicester's Riyad Mahrez and Barcelona's Luis Suarez.

The omissionof Lionel Messi from the cover, along with confirmation of Ronaldo's upcoming fourth Ballon d'Or, has made some suggest that the Argentine's time in the limelight is fading, while Ronaldo continues to become more prevalent.

The duo have both kept up their prolific goalscoring tally this season, with Ronaldo scoring 19 in 19 while Messi has scored 20 in 18.

They came head to head last weekend as Real Madrid travelled to the Camp Nou for El Clasico, and although Messi and co looked like stealing all three points through a Luis Suarez goal, the ever-present Sergio Ramos popped up with yet another last-gasp equaliser to end the game all-square.
