Former England and Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand has indicated that he would love to see the Red Devils signing Atletico Madrid superstar Thomas Teye Partey.

The Ghanaian international has attracted interest from a host of European giants who is seeking to bolster their squads as they wait for the return of football which has been suspended as a result of the Coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic.

Sharing his thought on players Manchester United should try their best to sign in the upcoming transfer window, Rio Ferdinand says it will be good to bring on board Jadon Sancho as well as Thomas Partey or Wilfred Ndidi.

“I'd definitely buy Sancho. Can you imagine Sancho in that team? He draws two or three players to him and [Marcus] Rashford's playing one-v-one? Oh God, it's over.

"I would maybe go and get Partey from Atletico Madrid or [Wilfred] Ndidi from Leicester, I like Saul Niguez, he's a very, very good player in midfield. And I do still think they need a centre-back”, Rio Ferdinand told The Beautiful Game podcast.

The England great added, “Whether you go for a young one, like Ben Godfrey, or go for someone like Koulibaly, I don't know, it's difficult."

Partey is rated high in Europe and is currently amongst the top midfielders in the world.

Besides Manchester United who is known to be interested in his services, the Atletico Madrid asset is also on the radar of Arsenal, Inter Milan, and PSG.
