Ronaldo Fires Back at Pique With Epic Response to Defender's 'Easy Champions League' Claims

The Real Madrid/Barcelona rivalry is beginning to heat up, with La Liga kicking off last weekend.

Barcelona claimed the league title last season, but Madrid pipped them to the Champions League after the Catalan side got knocked out by Atletico Madrid.

Cristiano Ronaldo proved crucial to the campaign, and would go one better by winning Euro 16 with his country Portugal in the summer.

Barcelona centre-backGerard Pique, however, isn't very impressed with Ronaldo's Champions League triumph, having sarcastically claimed - in a Twitter Q&A - that Madrid's route to the final had been very easy.

Asked what kind of Champions Leaguedraw he wanted for next season, Pique replied by noting Madrid's exact run to the grand finale.

An easy group stage," he said. "Italy's 3rd in the round of 16 (Roma), Germany's 8th in the quarters (Wolfsburg), England's 4th in semis (Manchester City) and the return leg always at home.

Ronaldo was voted Europe's best player of last season on Thursday, and when asked about Pique's comments, his reply (viaCadena Ser) was this:All I can say to him is that he should take a look at the beautiful pictures I've uploaded to Facebook and Instagram.

The Portuguese star must have been referring to pictures of his two European trophies.
