Ronaldo Forced to Abandon £260,000 Lamborghini & Call Local Ambulance Following Ski Trip

Published on: 24 January 2017

Ballon d'Or winner Cristiano Ronaldo was forced to leave behind his £260,000 Lamborghini and call up an ambulance to get home, after pulling up in his super car as a result of experiencing pain in his wrist(via The Sun).

The 31-year old was returning home with his girlfriend, Georgina Rodriguez, after spending the day at the ski resort of Navacerrada when a sudden wrist pain caused him to abandon the journey and park on a roundabout.

Ronaldo made sure that both the police and roadside assistance were notified, to ensure his vehicle returned home safely via a tow-truck, while he was taken home in an ambulance. Neither Real Madrid, Cristiano himself, nor the police and ambulance services have commented on the events that occurred on Monday.

The forward was seen wearing heavy strapping on his right wrist in his sides 2-1 victory over Malaga on the weekend at the Bernabeu, where he put in a rather disappointing performance for a man of his standards as he was jeered by his own fans.

Zinedine Zidane has insisted that Ronaldo will play against Celta Vigo, despite his wrist injury, as Real Madrid look to overturn their first leg deficit.

"If he's okay, and I think he is going to be okay, he will be with us.The knock he had is just a knock. Something that's been bothering him until now, but he's okay. It's not an injury, it's a knock and he will be okay."

Los Merengues have never fought back from a 2-1 first-leg deficit in the Copa del Rey (via Marca), so it's understandable why the French boss wants his star player on the pitch.
