Sporting Director for Obuasi Ashanti Gold, Roy Arthur has disclosed that his mission is to resource the academy side of the team in order to ensure it produces top stars for the first team.
Ashgold has been given a new face in terms of the management team that will be steering the affairs of the club for the next couple of years.
Roy Arthur is one of the new brains appointed by the bankrollers of the Miners and will be working as the Sporting Director for the club.
In an interview with Atinka FM, the football administrator has revealed plans to revamp the academy team of Ashanti Gold so that it can produce stars that will eventually get to shine while playing for the senior team.
“My mission is to revamp Ashgold Academy, we need to produce stars again from our youth team and it is my aim to scout good young footballers, groom them so they become stars at AshantiGold”, Roy Arthur shared.
