Sahel FC hold Black Satellites in final friendly ahead of African U20 championship

Black Satellites of Ghana continued their preparations ahead of the upcoming Africa Youth Championship with a 1-1 draw against Nigerien side Sahel FC in their final friendly.

Sahel FC took the lead through Forouk Fuseini strike who connected from a cross on the left side in the 2nd minute of the game.

Ghana equalised in the 17th minute through striker Sabit Abdulai goal.

Coach Jimmy Cobblah and his lads have been in Niamey for almost two weeks now, preparing for the tournament with a series of friendly matches.

Ghana U-20 remain winless in preparatory games but the team has been boosted by the arrival of first choice goalkeeper Manaf Nurudeen.

The Black Satellites are in group B of the competition alongside Senegal, Burkina Faso and Mali.

The semi-finalist from the competition will qualify for the FIFA U-20 World Cup in Poland later this year.

Ghana are three times champions of the Africa Youth Championship and the only side from Africa to win the World Cup.
