Samartex FC General Manager Edmund Ackah has vehemently denied claims made by Hearts of Oak board member Dr. Nyaho Nyaho-Tamakloe, who alleged that the Ghana Premier League has seen an increase in referee bribery, contributing to Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko's failure to secure the league title in the past two seasons.

Dr. Nyaho-Tamakloe expressed his concerns, stating that the issue of referee bribery has become a significant problem in the Ghana Premier League. He warned that Accra Hearts of Oak would return with a solution to expose those involved in the malpractice.

However, Ackah, whose team Samartex FC recently clinched the league title, has hit back at the former Ghana Football Association (GFA) president. In an interview with Oyerepa FM, Ackah questioned Nyaho-Tamakloe's ability to manage a club effectively and challenged him to prove his worth.

"If Hearts of Oak were under his management, could he compete with me in the league?" asked Ackah. He also labeled the suggestion that Samartex FC won the league through corrupt means as "stupid."

Ackah further boasted about his competence as a club manager, asserting that no other chief executive in the league could outsmart him. He urged the football community not to let "shallow-minded people" tarnish the image and reputation of others.

"Is there any CEO who can handle a Ghana Premier League team better than I'm handling Samartex?" he challenged.
