Former Ghana international Prince Tagoe has advised Black Meteors skipper Afriyie Barnieh to settle scores with Hearts of Oak if he is to play football to the top level.
Barnieh has dipped in form since departing Hearts of Oak in January to sign for Swiss side FC Zurich. The forward has struggled for playing time, which has reflected in his performance in recent times.
The Black Meteors captain endured a difficult run at the U23 AFCON tournament, where Ghana exited group stage. Barnieh failed to score in any of the three games played at the tournament before their elimination.
However, Tagoe, who was not impressed with how Barnieh departed Hearts of Oak has asked him to settle any issues with the club to regain his form.
“I always say, how Barnieh left the club was not good, his goodbye to the club was not nice so for me if he wants to play on top of his game again, then he should come and settle any issue with the club if any,” he said on Angel TV.
Barnieh will travel to join his teammates at FC Zurich to prepare for the new season.
