Shocking images of KevinGrosskreutz' gruesome injury have emerged and the 28-year-old certainly looks worse for wear after being attacked by four thugs in a nightclub in Stuttgart, according tothe Sun.
The World Cup winner was rushed to hospital after his head swelled massivelyand bled profusely.
Grosskreutz left the club at around 2:15am before being caught off-guard by four thuggish teenagers.
The four attackers, all aged between 16 and 19, were later arrested by German police who have started an officialinvestigation on the brawl.
An official club statement from Stuttgart read: Kevin Grosskreutz was, according to our current knowledge, involved in a physical conflict in the night from Monday to Tuesday and taken to a hospital in Stuttgart.
