Asante Kotoko's Coach, Dr. Prosper Ogum Narteh, issued a heartfelt apology to the fans of the Ghanaian Premier League club following a challenging winless streak in the last 7 matches.

The club's loyal supporters were offered an apology from the coach after the team's much-needed victory over Samartex FC on Sunday, April 21, 2024, marking their first win in 8 matches.

Expressing his regret for the team's recent performance, Coach Narteh Ogum acknowledged the pain the fans had endured and appealed for their continued support.

"Sorry for causing you a lot of pain and letting you down along the line but you are the same people who can bring us up. On behalf of the technical team, playing body, and IMC I say thank you. None can be compared to you," he said at the post-match," during the post-match press conference.

Looking ahead, Coach Narteh Ogum expressed his ambition to elevate Kotoko to compete internationally and improve the club's standing.

The team's hard-fought 1-0 victory at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium, with Enoch Morrison securing the win through a second-half penalty, has positioned the struggling Kumasi-based side 5 points clear of the relegation zone.
