Veteran football administrator, Alhaji Grusah has advised Sports Minister Mustapha Ussif to stop begging Qatar for one of the dismantled Stadia.

At the end of the 2022 FIFA World Cup, Qatar is disassembling some of its stadia and will gift them to selected countries free of charge.

The information gathered is that Ghana through Sports Minister Mustapha Ussif is in talks with Qatar authorities to be considered for one of the stadia.

Speaking to Akoma FM in an interview on Thursday, Alhaji Grusah indicated that he is not in support of the idea.

“I will advise the Sports Minister not to appeal to the Qatar government for any stadium because we cannot maintain it,” the King Faisal owner argued.

Alhaji Grusah added, “We can't even maintain it should they agree to hand over the stadium to us unless the Qatari government agrees to maintain it for us.

“We just can't do it, the flow of water at our washrooms at various stadia is not working, and becomes difficult if not impossible to visit the washrooms when you go to the Stadium and this is because we lack maintenance culture in this country.”

Meanwhile, Alhaji Grusah has confirmed that each member of the Black Stars management committee received a whopping $100,000 as an appearance fee at the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
