Asante Kotoko's striker, Steven Mukwala, has embraced the competition posed by fellow striker Kalo Ouattara, labeling it as a "healthy" rivalry.

The Ugandan international shared his thoughts in an interview with Kotoko's official media channel ahead of their Ghana Premier League match against Bechem United on Sunday, October 29.

The game will be played at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.

The Ugandan striker discussed various topics, including the significance of scoring his debut goal this season.

Despite facing initial challenges and witnessing Ouattara net two crucial winning goals, Mukwala sees the competition as a positive force for the team.

Mukwala highlighted that if either player isn't in optimal form, the other is prepared to step up and contribute to the team's success.

“He is an amazing striker as well. Always a team has to be with competition which is healthy so I think so I think our competition is really healthy.

“If I’m not in good shape, he is ready to deliver for the team. If he’s not in good shape, I think I can also play that part so basically it has been a good healthy competition.”

As Kotoko heads into the match against Bechem, they are positioned seventh in the league standings, while Bechem holds the 13th spot out of 18 teams in the league.
